CUSTOMER PROJECT
Seattle Craftsman Renewal | Aluminum-Clad Wood Windows
A sensitive Seattle Craftsman renovation pairing traditional proportions with warm-white aluminum-clad wood windows, garden-facing French doors and modern insulated glazing.

The goal of this Seattle renovation was to improve comfort and daylight while retaining the warmth and familiar proportions of an early Craftsman home. A carefully detailed rear addition opens the kitchen, dining room and upper bedroom toward a mature Pacific Northwest garden.
MERUZY developed a coordinated package of aluminum-clad wood picture windows, tilt-and-turn units and French patio doors. Warm-white exterior frames complement the painted shingles and deep roof eaves, while natural wood interior reveals add texture to the calm, light-filled rooms. Low-E insulated glass improves thermal performance without changing the home's traditional character.
The new openings are deliberately simple and well proportioned. French doors provide a direct garden connection, discreet tilt-and-turn hardware adds practical ventilation, and the large bedroom picture window frames evergreen views like a landscape artwork.
