Privacy policy

Effective date: August 13, 2026
Last updated: August 13, 2026

MERUZY Architectural Systems ("MERUZY," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal, business, and project information when you visit meruzy.com, request a quotation, upload project files, apply for the MERUZY Trade Program, purchase products, or otherwise communicate with us.

This policy is intended to reflect privacy principles applicable to our customers in the United States and Canada, including, where applicable, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA) and Canadian privacy requirements. References to these laws do not mean that every provision applies to every person or transaction.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect:

  • Contact and account information: name, company name, professional role, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, account credentials, billing and delivery information, project location, and ZIP or postal code.
  • Project and trade information: company website, contractor or professional information, project type, budget range, schedule, measurement status, delivery and site-access information, drawings, architectural plans, window schedules, CAD files, photographs, sketches, specifications, shared-file links, project notes, and Trade Program application information.
  • Order and transaction information: products, samples and configurations requested or purchased, quotations, approved drawings, order records, payment status, packing and delivery records, warranty and claim information. Payment details are generally processed by Shopify and its payment providers; MERUZY does not necessarily receive complete payment-card details.
  • Communications: messages, emails, WhatsApp communications, support requests, preferences, and feedback.
  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referral information, cookies, and similar technical data used for security, store functionality, analytics, and—where enabled and permitted—advertising.

Please do not upload information that is not reasonably necessary for your project. If plans contain personal or confidential information unrelated to the project, consider redacting it before submission.

2. How We Collect Information

We collect information directly from you, automatically through the website and cookies, from Shopify and service providers supporting our store, and from parties involved in a project or transaction when reasonably necessary to serve you.

3. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

  • review inquiries and Trade Program applications;
  • prepare design concepts, CAD proposals, shop drawings, technical submittals, quotations, and DDP estimates;
  • verify project scope, configuration, measurements, documentation, and order requirements;
  • manufacture, inspect, pack, ship, clear through customs, deliver, and support orders;
  • process purchases, payments, returns, replacements, warranty matters, and claims;
  • communicate about an inquiry, application, project, order, delivery, or support request;
  • maintain records, prevent fraud, secure the website, diagnose errors, and comply with legal obligations;
  • improve our products, services, website, and customer experience; and
  • send marketing communications only where you have separately chosen to receive them or where otherwise permitted by law.

Submitting an inquiry or Trade Program application authorizes project-related communication. It does not, by itself, subscribe you to marketing email.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies and similar technologies. Necessary cookies support functions such as security, market and language preferences, shopping carts, accounts, checkout, and fraud prevention. Where applicable, non-essential analytics or advertising technologies are enabled only after the required consent is obtained. You may change or withdraw your choices through the cookie/privacy controls made available on the website. Browser settings may also block some cookies, but doing so can affect store functionality.

5. How We Disclose Information

We do not sell or rent proprietary project files or personal information for money. We may disclose information only as reasonably necessary to:

  • Shopify and commerce providers that host and operate the online store, checkout, payments, customer accounts, and related services;
  • Uploadcare and file-service providers that receive and store files submitted through project and Trade Program upload tools;
  • communications providers, including email and WhatsApp/Meta, when you choose those channels;
  • manufacturers, engineering and project-support partners involved in reviewing, producing, documenting, or supporting the requested system;
  • logistics providers, including freight forwarders, ocean carriers, customs brokers, insurers, warehouses, and local trucking providers;
  • analytics, security, IT, professional, and compliance providers supporting our website and operations;
  • governmental, regulatory, law-enforcement, or legal parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, transactions, or the integrity of our services; and
  • a buyer, successor, or adviser in connection with a merger, financing, restructuring, sale, or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate protections.

Service providers may process information only for relevant services and under their own contractual and legal obligations. Their privacy practices may also be governed by their respective privacy notices.

6. International and Cross-Border Processing

MERUZY serves customers in the United States and Canada and coordinates engineering, manufacturing, commerce, file hosting, communications, and logistics through providers that may operate in China, the United States, Canada, and other countries. Your information and project files may therefore be transferred to, accessed from, or stored in countries outside your province, state, or country. Those jurisdictions may have different privacy laws, and information may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement authorities, or regulators in accordance with local law. We use reasonable contractual, organizational, and technical measures appropriate to the nature of the information and processing.

7. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for inquiry review, project coordination, manufacturing, delivery, customer service, security, warranty administration, dispute resolution, recordkeeping, and legal, tax, accounting, or contractual obligations. When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, de-identify, or anonymize it. Retention periods vary according to the type of record, project status, warranty coverage, legal requirements, and operational need.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or misuse. No internet transmission, cloud service, or storage system is completely secure. Please use appropriate care when submitting confidential drawings or project information and contact us if you believe information has been compromised.

9. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information; obtain information about its use or disclosure; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; opt out of marketing; or exercise other applicable privacy rights. Certain records may be retained where required or permitted for legal, security, contractual, warranty, fraud-prevention, or transaction purposes.

California residents may also have applicable rights to know, correct, or delete personal information and to opt out of certain sale or sharing. MERUZY does not sell proprietary project files or personal information for money. If advertising technologies that constitute "sharing" under California law are enabled, applicable website privacy controls may be used to manage that activity. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

Canadian individuals may request access to and correction of personal information and may withdraw consent, subject to legal and contractual limitations. You may contact us with a privacy concern; we will review it and respond in accordance with applicable requirements.

To protect you and the business, we may need to verify identity, authority, and the scope of a request. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted, but we may require proof of authorization and identity verification.

10. Marketing Communications

Marketing subscription is voluntary and separate from project communications. You can unsubscribe through the link in a marketing email or contact us. Even after opting out of marketing, you may continue to receive transactional or project-related messages concerning an inquiry, application, order, delivery, warranty, security issue, or customer-service matter.

11. Children

Our website, Trade Program, inquiry services, and products are intended for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

12. Third-Party Links and Services

The website may link to third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. MERUZY is not responsible for third-party websites or services that it does not control.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect operational, legal, or technology changes. The current version will be posted at https://meruzy.com/policies/privacy-policy with the updated date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent.
