CASE STUDY BREAKDOWN
Real Project in Action: From Hand-Drawn Sketch to Job-Site Delivery
See how one contractor’s initial project notes moved through configuration, approval, production and protected delivery.
PHASE 01 · STEP 01
Share the project
Contractor Guido submitted hand-drawn sketches for eight bespoke units. His requirements included high-performance thermal-break aluminum, Matte Black finishes inside and out, and a specialized 48" x 48" flip-up pass-through window with integrated gas struts.
INPUT · Client sketches, sizing notes, and universal hardware specs
PHASE 02 · STEPS 02–03
Engineer, quote and refine
Our engineering team converted the initial concept into a detailed itemized proposal. We specified 81-series thermal-break profiles, dual-pane Low-E tempered glass, and custom "2-over-5" grille patterns to match the architectural aesthetic.
OUTPUT · Reviewable configuration and itemized proposal
PHASE 03 · STEPS 04–05
Approve and produce
Following Guido's sign-off on final CAD shop drawings and field dimensions, fabrication commenced. Each unit underwent a multi-stage QC protocol, including precision assembly, hardware functional tests, and structural integrity audits.
CONTROL POINT · Signed drawings before production
PHASE 04 · STEP 06
Protect and deliver
To ensure zero-damage arrival, all units were secured in heavy-duty, fumigation-free plywood crates. The complete 8-unit order was shipped via 100% DDP, handling all customs and logistics directly to the project site in New Jersey.
DELIVERABLE · Protected crates delivered to the confirmed address

CROSS-BORDER ORDER FAQ
Answers before you import.
Can homeowners purchase directly from MERUZY?+
Yes. While our systems are engineered to professional architectural standards, we frequently work directly with custom homeowners and owner-builders who have dedicated general contractors or professional installers on site. Simply share your plans or opening schedules to begin your project quote.
Is there a fee for design or quotation revisions?+
There is no design fee, quotation fee or design deposit before the formal order. We refine the proposal within the agreed project scope. A major scope change may require a revised schedule or quotation, which will be confirmed in writing.
When is payment requested?+
Payment is requested only after you approve the design, quotation, final verified dimensions and formal order. Production begins after the required payment is received.
Do I need to handle US Customs and import duties?+
No when your written quotation states DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). Under that confirmed scope, MERUZY coordinates the required freight paperwork, customs clearance and duties through curbside delivery. Unloading, site access and installation remain the customer’s responsibility unless expressly included.
What happens if glass or parts are damaged during transit?+
Products are protected in enclosed, fumigation-free plywood crates. If visible damage occurs, note it on the delivery receipt or Bill of Lading before the driver leaves and take clear photographs. Properly documented claims are handled under the replacement and transit-damage terms in the final order.
Do you provide installation services?+
No. MERUZY is a supply-only architectural system provider. You or your qualified local general contractor performs final field verification, unloading and installation. We provide the applicable shop drawings, installation information and remote product guidance.
Are your windows compliant with US building codes?+
Systems can be configured with thermal-break profiles and high-performance Low-E insulating glass around project-specific U-factor, SHGC, structural and safety requirements. Compliance is configuration- and jurisdiction-specific; applicable documentation and final suitability must be reviewed against the approved design by your local qualified professional before order confirmation.
